Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist

Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Bilingual Accounts Recievable Specialist (English/French) located at our Corporate Headquarters in downtown Toronto, ON. This role will be responsible for a regional Quebec collections portfolio, general accounting A/R functions including running A/R to G/L, debits, credits and write-offs, as well as coordination of cash applications. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with strong attention to detail and also a willingness to learn.

Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:


Liaise with customers, in collaboration with branch managers, for outstanding payments owing, administer collections processes if needed for non paying accounts.
Work in collaboration with collections agencies as well as the internal billing and associate payroll centre.
Creation of new accounts along with credit limit checks.
Gather/obtain accounting along with other supporting documentation needed for the management of receivables.
Process and resolve any issues payments received, as well as non identified payments.
Perform quarterly review of A/R accounts along with regional Controller.
Coordinate client access to the payment portals.
Coordinate invoice and statement re-sends to major clients.
Follow up on new and returning clients to establish contact as well as ensure accuracy of client information.
Perform analysis of sales and receivables information for client accounts.
Investigate and resolve account balance differences.
Perform monthly reconciliation of designated GL accounts.
Keying and posting monthly write-off/bad debt entries for customer accounts.
Assist with month end opening and closing procedures.


Bilingual Accounts Recievable Specialist Qualifications:


A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of A/R experience, ideally in a service related industry.
Must be Bilingual (French/English)
Proficient in PC software packages, with intermediate level MS Excel skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles is an asset.
