Intermediate Hardware Technician

Adecco is recruiting for an Intermediate Hardware Technician for a 5-month contract opportunity with a private client based in Montreal, QC. The Intermediate Hardware Technician will mainly ensure physical compliance and product software by performing a series of tests and verifications.

The Intermediate Hardware Technician will have the following responsibilities but not limited to:

- Perform electrical and mechanical checks and measurements on simulators and various flight training devices
- Find in software and hardware the problems of both the training devices themselves and the infrastructure
- Perform measurements and tests on the software and hardware parts of the devices, following prescribed rules and procedures and using diagnostic instruments and tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, special software, etc.)
- When commissioning the devices, carry out the checks and verification of their safety by referring to their electrical diagrams
- Identify and report problems detected in light of the knowledge of what the performance of the equipment should be in its operating state is normal
- Collaborate with engineers, other equipment technicians and members of the manufacturing line to resolve identified operating problems
- Discuss with customers and meet their training needs
- Resolve customer issues in a courteous and expeditious manner
- Perform the administrative and logistical tasks that are required
- Provide reports on the status and health of the simulators and the flight devices

The Intermediate Hardware Technician must meet the following requirements:

- Technical diploma or degree in aviation or electronics or equivalent relevant experience
- Thorough understanding of computer/simulator architecture, particularly relationships between system components
- Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use electronic testing equipment
- Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment
- Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information

- Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team
- Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset
- Understanding of visual projector and auto calibration systems
