Credit Analyst, Vancouver, BC

Are you a customer service enthusiast looking to join a fast-paced, challenging environment?
We are working with a client who is expanding their Credit team based downtown, Vancouver, BC who needs your talents and are currently looking for 9-month contractors Credit Clerks to join their busy teams.

The role is responsible for overseeing credit and collections from Wholesale/Reseller customers, banking of collections, entry of payments in the system and application of payments against client accounts.

Credit Clerk Requirements:
- Manage AR portfolio to meet required departmental objectives
-Understand the JD Edwards module and participate in special projects such as system upgrades and system
conversions.
-Liaise with the customer support function which is responsible for correcting invoices and making edits to the customer master data to ensure accuracy of invoices.
-Reviews credit procedures and searches for possible improvements; recommends policies and ensures they are effective by meeting with interested parties to review policy details and steps for implementation.
-Organizes work activities on a priority basis by reviewing tickets to see when products are put on hold, ensuring that employees in the Credit department are reviewing details relevant to the situation;
-Explains the clients credit policies and works with the customer to come up with a mutually agreed-upon solution so that the business relationship can continue.
-Educates newly acquired companies on credit policies and procedures and facilities the transition to implement these policies and procedures; provides relevant examples to explain how policies work and why they are important;
-Participate on joint customer visits with the sales team

Credit Clerk Qualifications:
- 3+ Years in a Collector Role
-College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
-CCP or Accounting Designation is an asset
-Knowledge of Corporate Credit Policy; Canadian Legal System; Regulations regarding Collections;
Canadian Privacy Act
-Good Listening and Communication Skills, Sense of Urgency, Customer Service Skills, Team Player,
-Problem Solving Abilities, Able to work in Excel, Generate Reports, Lead Meetings, Meet with Customers,
-Negotiate, Dispute Resolution Skills, Conflict Resolution Skills
