Compensation Analyst

Adecco is currently hiring for a Compensation Analyst Job located in downtown Toronto, ON. To qualify for this opportunity, you must have completed a relevant degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Finance and have a minimum 3 years’ experience in compensation preferably within a large, complex and unionized environment. This is a contract position and the payrate is $40 - $45 per hour depending on the amount of experience one has.

The Compensation Analyst Job Responsibilities Include:
• Provides proactive and adhoc analytical and technical support for the design, development, reporting and governance of compensation tools and programs to support the strategic objectives of organization
• Involved in key areas of compensation, performance management/pay for performance, job descriptions, job evaluation, benefits/pension, HRIS/project management, workforce planning and administration/budget
• Conducts and completes compensation surveys
• Prepares salary/wage administration calculations
• Support new hire/ internal out of cycle compensation decision making
• Supports the preparation of the Pay Equity Program, analysis, reports and communications for review as may be required
• Contributes and supports the development, maintenance and administration of the Pay for Performance
• Monitors and reports on completion of PMP milestones
• Coordinates the job evaluation program for union and non-union positions (e.g. prepares supporting documentation, arranges committee meetings as required, records minutes, prepares final documentation for approval and sign-off, and maintains historical records);
• Supports benefits team as required to ensure timely and accurate delivery of initiatives
• Provides insights and information on job design, organizational structures, job evaluation process, salary administration, benefits, incentives) Maintains relationships with a network of representatives in compensation functions of the client’s external market comparative groups to conduct surveys and share best-practices
• All other duties as assigned

The Compensation Analyst Job Qualifications Include:
• Completion of a relevant degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Finance - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• Minimum (3) years’ experience in compensation preferably within a large, complex and unionized environment
• Completion (or in progress) CHRP, Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
• Advanced analytical functions in MS Excel to conduct data management and analysis of large data sets
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide analytical and technical support to compensation and benefits functions and programs
• Strong focus and attention to detail
• Enjoys building rapport and relationships with others; strong Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to provide support to HR team overall
• Thrives in a rapidly changing environment and maintains a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of applicable Human Resources and compensation/benefits related legislation and regulations
• Experience working with enterprise-wide HR Management Systems (HRMS) (e.g. Oracle), Org Plus/Visio
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
