Receptionist - Vancouver, Downtown

Our client, one of Canada’s leading financial institutes is looking for a friendly and outgoing receptionist for a 12-month contract with an immediate start.

The perfect candidate would be professionally polished with a positive, can-do and welcoming attitude. The environment is fast paced and professional and the client is willing to consider applicants that may not necessarily have reception experience, but has the outgoing personality and mind set- a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain and strengthen their professional experience.

DAILY DUTIES:
- First point of contact for those entering the office building
- Responsible for light administrative duties: excel spreadsheets, photocopying, couriers, greeting clients, responding to emails as well as any ad-hoc administrative duties as required by branch manager
- Responsible for answering the branch main phone line calls will come through either directly to the receptionist or re-directed when staff members in the office are not available to answer their personal direct lines (will not be high volume and will not be through a switch board)
- The branch has a high volume of foot traffic -- as the main point of contact the receptionist must be able to manage foot traffic, callers and administrative duties

MUST HAVES:
- Must be able to multi task whilst maintaining a friendly and approachable manner
- Attention to detail
- Strong command of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Extroverted - outgoing, friendly personality
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word/Excel
- Professionally polish

NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous experience in an admin role

Hours are full-time Monday-Friday.
