Logistics and Inventory Support Coordinator

Our client, leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and parts for a wide variety of industries is currently seeking a Logistics and Inventory Support Coordinator for their brand new dynamic facility in Etobicoke, ON.

This is a key support role in our clients rapidly growing business. It is multifunctional with a suite of responsibilities in the following areas: freight and logistics, service, and office support. It requires communication with and support for customers, suppliers, freight providers, and office staff.

Logistics and Inventory Support Coordinator Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintain accurate customer and supplier data in all systems (Xero, Tradegecko, RBC Express, etc.)
Manage all new customer and supplier set ups in systems.
Coordinate shipments with customers, suppliers, and freight companies to ensure optimum delivery schedules and cost effectiveness.
Expedite all shipments and take corrective action if required.
Communicate with customers regarding the status of their shipments and in partnership with the sales team.
Resolve shipping issues and customer return issues as they arise.
Track costs of non-conformance incidents and communicate with suppliers if credit is required.
Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure necessary documents are created and tracked.
Assist in special projects as required
Collaborate effectively with sales team to review and place inventory orders.
Manage and coordinate logistics process documentation.
Ensure all documentation and equipment inspection is updated/completed.
Support the sales staff and office management as required.
Finalize customer purchase orders and ensure approval is completed prior to payment.
Manage order placement with suppliers.
Manage customer collections whenever necessary.
 
Logistics and Inventory Support Coordinator Requirements:

4+ years’ experience in an office setting.
Logistics and inventory control experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
Post-secondary degree/diploma.
Accounting experience is an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills.
Customer focused (for both external and internal support)
Advanced organization and prioritization skills.
Proactive, solution-oriented team player with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, complex, ever-changing environment while effectively managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Salary:

Commensurate with Experience; base salary plus 10% bonus.
