Adecco is currently recruiting A Facility Maintenance person for our prominent and busy client in Ajax. This Facility and Maintenance position requires successful applicant to pass a Controlled Goods background, which Adecco will facilitate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Able to perform various maintenance tasks, including painting, plastering, snow removal, minor plumbing troubleshooting
? Assist in the preventative maintenance / repairs on buildings and equipment including, but not limited to , plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep
? Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the grounds and facility
? Assemble purchased equipment and/or furniture
? Respond in a timely fashion to customer requests
? Be able to read and interpret schematic/layout drawings
Experience needed
? 5 years relevant experience
? Good communication skills
? Competent in performing various maintenance tasks and utilizing various power tools.
? Competent decision making skills are required.
? Able to lift up to 50 lbs
? Forklift, Aerial Platform & Working at Heights training an asset
? Comfortable working with various power tools, equipment as required
? Able to work on feet for long periods at a time
? Be able to read and interpret schematic/layout drawings
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team depending on tasks
? Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize with good attention to detail
? Able to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions
? Construction background an asset
? The ability to work shifts if required.
