CELLPHONE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Adecco is currently hiring for a Cellphone Repair Technician for our client that is mainly focus in electronics product and services, located in Ottawa, ON. This contract will go for an initial 3-month contract with possibility of extension. To qualify for this role, you must have a love for of smartphones, gaming and/or computer savvy. If you like to fix your home electronics this may be the perfect role for you.
The working hours are as follow: 12:00-8:00pm Monday to Friday
12:00-8:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
The successful candidate will be someone who has the ability to work any shift including weekends as required

Cellphone Repair Technician Responsibilities:

-Test, diagnosis and repair of faulty smartphones, including models of Samsung, Apple, LG, Motorola, Alcatel, Blackberry, HTC and others;
-Explain customer repair information in clear and concise manner;
-Create assessments and quotations based on customer’s description of issues;
-Quality check, testing of repaired devices to ensure full functionality;
-Disassembly/re-assembly, component/parts replacement (including LCDs, cameras, speakers, buttons, etc.) following required company standards.
-Complete and email daily repair reports, transactions processed and update daily logs
-Accountability/ ownership of any repair by holding highest standard.
-Examine cellphone unit and observe operation and perform further checks using electronic hand tools
-Upgrade internal software of any smartphones to the latest software versions
-Responsible for maintaining records on repair and progress
-Company provided training courses on new developments in cellular technology

Cellphone Repair Technician Qualifications:

-Minimum of 5 years of previous electronics equipment repair experience
-Repairs are done on the spot; ability to work under high stress is a must.
-Willing to participate in skill enhancement training programs.
-In-depth knowledge and experience with electronics devices repairs.
-Strong communication, organisational and planning skills.
-Knowledge of smartphone repair is preferred.
-Must be comfortable using a smart phone (Android, Apple, Blackberry, Microsoft, Google)
-Proactive and self-motivated
