Our client is currently looking for a professional, committed, native speaking French translator to join our team of translators, proofreaders, and project managers. This position will be home-based on a full-time or part-time basis (contract).
The French translator will be home-based and report to the designated project manager in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Working under the guidance of the project manager, the translator is responsible for translating documents and/or reviewing translations for print and web, and for assisting the project manager with linguistic expertise.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Translating materials from English to French ensuring that all deadlines are met;
- Revising and editing translations that were performed by internal or external translators and provide objective and accurate feedback;
- Creating, maintaining, and developing client/product-specific term bases, glossaries, and translation memories;
- Working closely with the project managers and other members of the translation project team to ensure quality and timely delivery of translation requests;
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
