Entry Level Mechanical Drafter-AYR, ON

Summary
This position is a temp to perm direct hire opportunbity paying $16-$17/hr to start

- In this entry level role you will create assembly, layout, and other drawings using AutoCAD and Solid Works in a fast paced work environment.

Description

- To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the company’s Ayr branch (located outside Cambridge) to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified candidates with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Generate assembly and layout drawings of equipment in fast paced work environment.
- Generate shop detail prints.
- Generate flat pattern work for plasma cutting
- Work with Project engineers and other departments to meet deadlines on projects.


Qualifications

- Working towards or have obtained a minimum 2yr college degree
- AutoCAD drafting skills required
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to work full time with some Saturday Overtime
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies
- Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Accuracy
- Reliability
