SECURITY ENGINEER IN QUEBEC CITY

Our large global networking and security client located in Quebec City is searching for Security Engineers to join its growing team in October 2017. Security Engineers will provide pre-sales technical support to account managers and customers and develop revenue generating services in order to influence sales. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate from a Computer Science or Computer Systems Technology post-secondary program, is fluently bilingual in English and French, and is flexible to travel internationally.

Our client is offering permanent entry-level roles with many opportunities for development within the company. The base salary is $50,000 annually plus commissions. Our client offers excellent training programs and an overall great place to work.
 
Security Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Provide pre sales technical support in the Quebec City market
• Provide support to account managers and customers, developing POC's & architecting revenue generating services in order to influence sales
• Conduct technical meetings with customers and partners to highlight our client’s products and solutions
• Perform design work for partners and resellers
• Conduct technical pilots and competitive reviews
• Hold on-going education sessions with partners
• Perform limited post-sales support


Requirements Include:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology, or equivalent technical networking/security certifications
• Previous experience in ISP support, technical support, or related networking position is ideal but not required
• Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in both French and English
• Knowledge of UNIX operating system Solaris, Linux or Windows 2000 Administration
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking. DNS, DHCP and security protocols - a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical environment
• Ability to demonstrate good customer diplomacy skills and problem ownership
• Must be willing to travel to the USA for interviews and to complete a 9-week sales and technical training at our client’s international corporate office (outside of North America)
• Must be able to relocate to major cities within Canada
