Reporting to the Manager, Client Services, a Transactional Relationship Manager will be responsible for an assigned client base of publicly traded or private companies. Clients may be Canadian or cross-border listed. Major responsibilities include responding to client inquiries and/or requests and providing exceptional service within established time frames. Performance will be measured by meeting pre-established service standards and achieving specific Sales and Referral Targets.
Your responsibilities:
- Over-all responsibility for and management of the relationship between Computershare and the client in relation to Stock Transfer services;
- Maintain an excellent and professional relationship with the issuer and service all designated issuer account;
- Service the needs of the issuer and their shareholders, maintaining a balance between the issuer's needs and CPU's needs in terms of the derivation of profitable revenue from the issuer;
- Responsible for the profitable maintenance of designated transactional accounts and for the up-sell of Transfer Agent related products and services, and cross-sell of other CPU lines of business;.
- Responsible for coordinating client activities and mentoring of Associate Relationship Managers (ARM) where applicable;
- To strive for and achieve 100% client retention increased profitability per client, the continual nurturing and growth of the client;
- Managing of account receivables within required guidelines;
- Achievement of annual sales and referral targets, utilizing the required sales methodology;
- Attends shareholder and/or special meetings and acts as Scrutineer and/or proxy tabulator at shareholder meetings as needed;
- Preparation/Coordinating for Closings, Corporate Actions, disbursements and security holder mailings and meetings along with all other client activities that involve their security holders;
- Effective and consistent use of specific programs and applications, in accordance with required guidelines;.
- Promoting and assisting clients with new products and services.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent business experience is required;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English are required;
- Canadian Securities Course, Trust Institute or Securities Industry courses would be an asset;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is mandatory;
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience in securities industry;
- Proven client service and sales experience is essential;
- General stock transfer industry knowledge would be an asset;
- Strong communication, project management, analytical and problem solving skills;.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict and often conflicting deadlines;.
- Ability to work flexible hours and accommodate periodic (less than 15%) traveling.
