Client Relationship Manager

Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager, Employee Plans, this position is responsible for building and leveraging relationships with Computershare Canada's Corporate sponsors, Employee Stock Purchase and Equity Plans clients to create and maintain profitable, long-term business relationships and foster total client satisfaction. In addition, this position will also be responsible for managing the risk and reward for each relationship, the pro-active resolution of client issues and for the identification of opportunities for any new services and/or solutions within the established client base.

Major Responsibilities:

Through regular contact, develop and maintain relationships with Senior-level management with both HR/Benefits and Financial Executives to better understand the client's day-to-day needs, short and long term strategic goals related to plans.

Introduction / identification of opportunities for solutions within the established client base.

Negotiate legal documentation, contracts, service agreements, service enhancements and special requests.

Seek client feedback on product/service initiatives through formal and informal feedback to ensure service levels are appropriate and to determine opportunities for improvement.

Responsible for the pro-active resolution of client issues.

Responsible for the achievement of the budgeted revenue and profit per client.

Accountable for coordinating client activities and mentoring of Client Service Managers (CSMs) and Client Service Professionals (CSPs) within the team.

Sales support for new prospective clients, develop / maintain a cross-sale strategy.

Will require occasional travel.

Skills and Experience Required:

Canadian Securities Course, CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation or training offered through CEBS would be an asset.

University degree or equivalent college diploma, preferably in Commerce, Finance or Business Administration.

Demonstrated understanding of compensation principles and/or total reward strategies for confident illustration of complex issues related to ESPP, RRSP, Stock Options, etc.

Minimum of 5 years' experience acting in a relationship manager capacity in a professional services, implementation or client services environment with a proven ability to develop and manage client relationships within top-tier and/or national accounts.

Strong business acumen, combined with excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills.

Interpersonal relationship skills sufficient to adapt style and approach based on client's needs and situation.

Strong presentation skills.

Very strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects with strict and often conflicting deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and in English;
