Scope of the Position

Functions as part of a centralized business unit responsible for the issuance of various security instruments. Delivers the highest level of service to internal and external clients through the accurate release of securities in accordance with guidelines and service standards.

Major Responsibilities

Interacts with various departments within the organization to facilitate the issuance of physical securities.Works in a secured room with security inventory that must be properly managed.Performs routine, technical or procedural tasks that require the use of specialized software and printing equipment. Ensures that all processing is completed accurately and in line with specific service standards and/or client expectations.

General Role Requirements

Communicates verbally and in writing accurately and timely on a regular basis.Organizes and prioritizes work to ensure timely completion of responsibilities.Ability to multi-task between daily operational duties and projects as assigned.Provides service to internal clients in a timely manner in accordance with the specific request and stated expectations.Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and suggests resolutions to mitigate future occurrences.Performs, where applicable, business testing of systems/applications.Maintains confidentiality of any sensitive information as part of the job function.Ensures that all processing is completed accurately and in line with specific service standards and/or client expectations.Works independently and within a group setting to accomplish personal and team goals.Cross-trains between various operational units and is required to apply gained knowledge on a daily basis.Available to work shifts, overtime on weeknights and weekends as required.

 

Education, Training & Certification(s)

Post-secondary education preferred.Canadian Securities Course and/or Trust Institute course is optional but preferred.Knowledge of the Canadian Securities Industry, preferably from a Stock Transfer perspective preferred.Strong Microsoft Office experience in particular Word, Excel and SharePoint. Experience1 year experience in stock transfer or securities industry preferred.
